How can I cancel the automatic renewal of a subscription?

Learn how to cancel your MyHeritage subscription's automatic renewal, whether you subscribed via the App Store, Google Play, or directly on our website

Here's how to cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription. Which steps apply depends on how you originally subscribed, not on how you currently access your account: if you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, follow the app instructions below; if you subscribed with a credit card, PayPal, or another payment method directly on our website — even if you're using the MyHeritage app now — follow the website instructions instead.

I purchased via the MyHeritage app

A subscription that has been purchased via the MyHeritage app can only be canceled through Google Play or App Store, depending on your mobile device.

To cancel the automatic renewal of a MyHeritage subscription that was purchased directly from the app, please read this article.

This means you completed your purchase through the App Store or Google Play at checkout — not simply that you use the MyHeritage app on your phone. If you subscribed with a credit card, PayPal, or another payment method directly on our website, follow the instructions below instead, even if you're using the app now.

I purchases directly on the MyHeritage website

In case you purchased a subscription directly on the website, please follow the instructions below:

1. Log in to www.myheritage.com on your browser.

2. Click on your name on the upper right corner of the Home page and go to "My purchases".

3. Under "My purchases" select the relevant subscription - a site, data or photo subscription. For example, "Site subscriptions" correspond to Premium or PremiumPlus plans, while "Data subscriptions" are for data plans.

4. You will see the type of plan and the next billing date. To cancel the next automatic renewal, click on "Cancel my subscription".

(Example for canceling a Complete plan)

5. Click "Continue" until you see the button "Stop automatic renewal".

6. Click on the button "Stop automatic renewal".

Note:
In case the button is greyed out or unclickable, the automatic renewal of that subscription has already been canceled. Please check your emails for a confirmation email called "Your annual renewal at MyHeritage has been stopped".
