What is the Traits subscription?
If you already have the Traits upgrade (the one-time purchase that unlocks your initial 40 reports), you can now subscribe to receive additional Trait reports as they become available — without needing a new DNA test.
The subscription includes:
Instant access to new Trait reports available at the time of purchase.
Ongoing access to all future Trait reports as they are released.
Account-wide coverage — one subscription applies to all DNA kits you manage, as long as those kits have the Traits upgrade.
How do I subscribe?
You can subscribe in two ways:
From your Traits page — look for the banner showing new reports available to unlock, and click to proceed to the subscription page.
From an email — if new Trait reports are available for your account, you may receive an email with a direct link to subscribe.
Does the subscription cover all my DNA kits?
Yes. One subscription covers all DNA kits connected to your account, as long as each kit has the Traits upgrade. You do not need a separate subscription per kit.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel your subscription at any time from "My Purchases" on your MyHeritage site.
When you cancel:
Your subscription will not renew at the end of the current billing period.
You will keep access to all Trait reports you have already received for the remainder of the subscription period.
Reports already unlocked are yours to keep permanently — canceling does not remove them.
What happens when my subscription expires?
Once your subscription expires, you will no longer receive new Trait reports. However, all reports you received during your subscription remain accessible in your account.
You can re-subscribe at any time to start receiving new reports again.
