I am the daughter of a Stewart and while my search ends at my great-great-great grandfather (I got an unknown cousin out of that search), I can tell you a little about the name Stewart: although through history books, we know Mary Queen of Scots' surname was Stuart, it was actually spelled Stewart, until she married the French dauphin. She changed the spelling to look more "French", but who knows, you or me or both of us could be related to her in some way!
Good luck, and if I find out anything more, I will contact you.
