Preceding the 1994 General elections, that was the end of Apartheid in South Africa, a number of white South Africans that is mostly skilled citizens emigrated from South Africa. These white emigrants mostly consisted of British, Jewish (mostly via Latvia, German and Lithuanian ancestry) and a small amount of Afrikaner origins. Between 2010 and 2015, 43 000 citizens and between 2015 and 2020, 128 000 citizens emigrated.
