About Kenneth Marks

Currently, Kenneth is retired from his 35-year career as a software executive, at Boeing, Pearson, and NASA. He attended UC Berkeley, the University of Southern California and California State University, graduating with A BS in Mathematics in 1968. He spends many hours with The Ancestor Hunt website as well as researching his own ancestors. He also maintains two family history websites: www.marksology.com and www.braunhart.com.  The Ancestor Hunt, which started in 2012, not only has tips and techniques, but currently tracks links to over 270,000 free online collections from the U.S. and Canada, specializing in newspaper research for genealogy. In 2021-2023 he published three books, “Learning More About Your Ancestors Online - Genealogy Guides for Newbies, Hobbyists, and Old Pros”; “Finding Your Ancestors For Free - Your Guide to the Best Online Genealogy Archives, Collections, and Websites”; and “Finding Your Ancestors’ Obituaries: The Complete Genealogy Guide to Obituaries”
