About Alina Borisov-Rebel
PhD candidate in Arts at Bar-Ilan University since 2020. Author of books on the history of Jews in Russia, numerous articles, and interviews. Works as an interpreter in English/Russian pairs. Born and raised in Ukraine. Specializing in philology and translation. Worked as a journalist and film critic in socio-political media projects in Russia for over fifteen years. Led an online portal dedicated to cinema and attended film festivals in Venice, Rotterdam, Berlin, and Cannes. In 2014, moved to Israel and founded the online journal "Шакшука.ру" (Shakshuka.ru) in Russian. Engaged in enlightening projects. Taught English language and literature in Israeli schools. Completed an internship at FAU (Nuremberg university), Germany. Currently a lecturer at the ANU Museum of the Jewish People in Tel Aviv.
