The Caucasus is the territory between the Azov, Black and Caspian Seas. It is divided into the Greater Caucasus, the Ciscaucasia (North Caucasus) and the Transcaucasia (South Caucasus).
Geographically, the Caucasus is located in Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia.
Up to 50 ethnic groups live in the Caucasus.
