Fire in the Kamianets-Podilskyi archive in 2003 - occurred on 10 April 2003 in the Franciscan church of Kamianets-Podilskyi, Ukraine.[1] The State Archives of the Khmelnytskyi Region reported that more than 100,000 items were destroyed or damaged (directly by fire and water during firefighting) from five key collections related to the history of the Podillia region. Due to the closure of the Kamianets-Podilskyi archive, the documents were transferred to the State Archives of the Khmelnytskyi Region. The restoration of damaged documents is taking an extremely long time. In 2017, 14 years after the fire, the management of the State Archives of the Khmelnytskyi Region reported that 5.5% of the files had been restored.
