My name is Sujitkumar Ghosh and I started this site.I am 28th generation of Ghosh family having our root at Village :Koramara,Chirulia Pargana under District of Khulna. Our family tree starts from Makaranda Ghosh ,one five Kayasthas brought in Bengal by Maharaj Ballal Sen. After that one of branch settled at Akna (Hooghly) leaded by Prabhakar Ghosh and another at Bally (Howrah) leaded by Nishapati Ghosh. Our 20th Generation Ramjiban Ghosh(1742 AD) who was Commander of 1000 soldiers under Nawab Alibardi Khan of Murshidabad . He had accompanied Nawab to Orisa to combat Bhaskar Pandit. Later he was Chief Kanungo of Raja Sukdev Roy of Chachra who gifted him 36 Bighas free land our 21 th generation Laxminarayan who was Commander of Raja Rajchandra Roy of Maghia who attracted Nawab army Laximinarayan defeated them. Due to Palassy war Nawab could not take action against them.Since them we were in Khulna.During our reign in Khulna we had started many things like Durgapuja ,Charak puja . Our 26th generation my Grandfather Surendra Nath left koramara in 1901 and took job at Jalpaiguri and serve a personal assistant of Commissioner of Jalpaiguri. My father Sukhendra Nath who was born at jaipaiguri and served under Forest Deptt. At I am residing at A/292_A H B Town Road Road 7 sodepur, Kolkata 700110This site was created using MyHeritage.
