Wike Web Site

Welcome to Wike Web Site

My name is Hayley Stoddard and I started this site. This site was created using MyHeritage. This is a great system that allows anyone like you and me to create a private site for their family, build their family tree and share family photos.   GenealogyHayleyNorth Carolina, USAI am originally from Arizona. My family started out on my maternal side in Lithuanian, Poland, Russian, then on to Pennsylvania (Scranton), Colorado, then to Arizona. Last names include Lutkavage, Lutkewicz, Lutkeiwicz, and Grodis. Paternal line goes all the way back to Anthony Stoddard who came to the USA from England (Staffordshire hence Stoddard) in 1638, he was the father of Rev. Solomon Stoddard, and he was the grandfather to Aaron Burr 3rd vice president of the United States. Headed west to Illinois with Lincoln Stoddard, then down to Texas, New Mexico, and then Arizona. I am in gedmatch under profile kit M346564 my DNA is open to anyone and I am okay with anyone contacting me about ancestry, DNA, lost family, adoptions etc. I am desperately searching for my maternal grandfather William Odell Newtons mother and fathers information. He went to his grave with out a birth certificate and his mother searched her entire life for her husband. William was born in 1918 in a house in El Paso, Texas. Moved to Columbus, Ga. with his mother Anna Jane McLeod-Newton around 1924? his father was Odell Or Orey Newton a QMC army typewriter repair man. He abandoned my grandfather and his mom when he was 6 months old in 1920. From my research I have found that he married a Bertha Martin in 1924 and raised her daughters as his own and never had any other children. But I am not positive. If this is correct then the poor woman looked her entire adult life for a man who lived literally 1.5 hours away from her and my grandfather. If you know anything please I beg you to reach out to me. I would love to solve this mystery for him as he searched for him as well. Even in the 80s he sent away to Texas to get a birth certificate and was never able to get one for himself. Thanks and please fell free to send me a message! My email is genealogyhayley@gmail.com
