What are the surveys on MyHeritage?

Learn about the MyHeritage surveys — a genetics research project exploring how your DNA connects to your traits, behavior, health, and more

Surveys are a research project of MyHeritage’s Science Team that aims to study how genetics affects various aspects of our lives, with the help of the MyHeritage community. The surveys will improve our understanding of what makes people similar and what makes them different, based on their genes. In more scientific terms, we hope the surveys will allow us to better understand the connection between genotypes and phenotypes.

The survey project will examine the relationship between genetics and behavior, personal characteristics, and culture, allowing us to make exciting new genetic discoveries. The surveys cover a wide variety of topics including demographics, physical traits, hobbies, professions, personal health, family health, diet, happiness, political opinions, handedness, sleep, and more. Additional surveys will be added periodically.

When analyzing the results, we’ll remove personal information such as your name and email address, and aggregate your responses with those of thousands of other MyHeritage users.
