Your survey answers are used solely for scientific research purposes. Here's how:
Your responses are always analyzed in aggregated form — meaning your individual answers are combined with those of thousands of other users. Your name, contact information, and other personally identifiable information are always removed before your data is used or shared.
How your data is used depends on the research consent you provided when activating your DNA kit:
Research participation consent: Your answers (combined with your DNA results) are used by the MyHeritage Science Team for internal studies and scientific publications.
Individual Data Sharing consent (if you opted in): Your de-identified answers and genetic data may be shared with trusted academic and pharmaceutical partners to study human genetics and support the development of new therapies.
In all cases, personally identifiable information (such as name, email, contact details) is removed before your data is used or shared. Research results are reported in aggregate in scientific publications - never at an individual level.
