Why Are Some of My Health Reports Excluded? — Family & Personal Health History

Find out how your personal or family health history can affect which MyHeritage Health reports appear in your account

If you're wondering why certain Health reports are not appearing in your account, one possible reason is your personal or family health history as indicated in your Health Questionnaire.

Customers who purchase the MyHeritage DNA Health test or the Health upgrade are required to complete a questionnaire about their personal and family health history. Having a personal or family history of a certain medical condition, as indicated in the questionnaire, can have a significant impact on your genetic risk assessment for that condition.

As the MyHeritage DNA Health test analyzes only some of the variants for a condition, having a personal or family health history of that condition warrants more thorough testing.

Therefore, reports for certain types of cancer (e.g. hereditary BRCA cancer), neurological conditions, and carrier status for specific conditions may be excluded from your Health reports based on your questionnaire answers. In such cases, we recommend consulting with a genetic counselor or your healthcare provider to discuss the most appropriate testing.

Note: Reports may also be missing due to your ancestry background. See: Why are the polygenic risk reports only available for people of European descent?
