Why is it required that I answer a questionnaire about my personal and family health history before I take the MyHeritage DNA Health test?

Customers who purchase the MyHeritage DNA Health test and the health upgrade for the MyHeritage DNA test are required to complete a questionnaire about their personal and family health history.

The information in this questionnaire helps us determine which reports are appropriate for you, as the MyHeritage DNA Health test is not a diagnostic test. If you have a personal or family health history of a certain condition, we may not be able to provide you with an accurate genetic risk estimate for that condition, and therefore it will not be included in your health reports.

People with a personal or family health history of certain conditions are advised to consider genetic counseling and additional testing to ensure the most comprehensive and accurate results.

For U.S. customers, the information you fill out in your Health Questionnaire will be reviewed by an independent physician from PWNHealth, an independent provider network, to determine which reports are appropriate for you and to decide if you will receive genetic counseling as part of our service. ​
