Having an updated version of Family Tree Builder is strongly advised so that you can use all the features the software offers you.
To update your Family Tree Builder, please follow the steps below:
1. On the top menu bar, click on "Help".
2. Then select "Check for updates...":
3. On the window that will appear, click on the ‘Next’ button at the bottom:
4. On the next window, you will see a description of the version you currently have and the version the software will be updated to. Click again on the ‘Next’ button at the bottom:
5. Once the download is finished, click on the ‘Finish’ button, to run the installation process. Follow the instructions on your screen to finish the update.
Alternatively, you can visit the www.myheritage.com/family-tree-builder, download the software and install it again.
