Importing and exporting GEDCOM files from the Family Tree Builder:
When exporting a GEDCOM file from the Family Tree Builder, the program suggests you create a sub-folder and export the photos into it. When importing a GEDCOM from MyHeritage.com site into the Family Tree Builder, the program will recognize the links and will download the photos to your computer and into the project.
When importing from Ancestry.com®, please note:
You may notice that your photos and documents are missing from your import. This is because Ancestry has started blocking outside services from downloading media files. We attempt to retrieve your photos during the upload process, but Ancestry’s new protection settings intervene and prevent the transfer.
While we can still import your family tree data, the media files are blocked by Ancestry.
