| Description | Stephen Elop joined Juniper Networks in January 2007 as the chief operating officer (COO). Elop is responsible for Juniper Networks' enterprise and service provider business teams, corporate development, global sales and service, marketing and IT organizations. He brings to the COO role a wealth of execution experience and possesses a strong complement of operational and leadership skills. Most recently, he served as president of worldwide field operations at Adobe Systems, Inc. Responsible for Adobe's global sales organization and all customer-facing functions, Elop oversaw sales, field marketing, partners, customer care and professional services. He joined Adobe through the company's 2005 acquisition of Macromedia where he was president and CEO. During his seven-year tenure at Macromedia, he held many senior positions including COO, EVP of worldwide field operations and general manager of the company's eBusiness division. Earlier in his career, he served in a number of CIO and executive positions. Elop holds a Bachelors degree in computer engineering and management from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. |
