How do I delete my account on MyHeritage?

Updated over 3 weeks ago

To get started, let's clarify the key distinctions between an account, a family site, and a family tree.

An account is your personal gateway to our platform. An account can have multiple Family Sites, which are dedicated spaces for your family history research. Each site can contain one or more Family Trees. Click here for more information on the difference between an account, a site and a tree.

Deleting your account will permanently and irreversibly delete all the content in it, including all family sites, all family trees, all photos, all media content, and all DNA kits.

It will however not delete data that is on your computer, such as your Family Tree Builder projects that you worked on in the software. For more information on this, click here.

In case you wish to save your data, you can do as follows:

Warning:

Deleting your account is permanent. It cannot be recovered later!

Please note:

Deleting your account cancels any subscription that you have already paid for.
