About our family
The Duguid Family got far back as in 1690, William Duguid Married to Jean Hendrie (Henry) on October 27, 1716, at St. Nicholas Parish, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The Duguids had a castle called the Balquhain. It first was the Leslie's Castle. Even the Mary Queen of Scots stay the night before 1562. The Castle walls remains of the Castle. John Leslie, born 13 Jan 1751, the third son of of Patrick Leslie Duguid, 21 baron of Balquhain, by Ameba, Irvine of Kingcaussey, his second wife, as twenty-second Baron of Balquhain on the death of her father in April 1777. John Leslie was sent abroad at an early age, about 1961, to be educated at the Scotch College at Ratisbon, where the Counts Leslie in Germany had made a foundation for the education of members of the family. John Leslie study with great success,. Became a scholar, and speaking most of modern Languages. I have been trying to find out exactly where they linkage this is to us, me. This is on my Grandma Duguid family ancestry, my dad's mother. She married Erick Frank Radee / Radue, his family is from ancestors is from Germany.

Radee / Radue / Radu from Gremany, there is a river called Radu. Is this name after my family? I like to go farther back if I can. I am also looking for Appel / Appell farether back if possible. with any information i can get,
