George / Dower/ Bastian (Bastard) all from Cornwall, England - Kittle (Devon, England) / Roe (Yorkshire)
On my Mother's side the main lines are:
Hazeldine (Gloucestershire, England) / Rundell (Cornwall, England) - Alexander (Edinburgh, Scotland) / Brown
Missing pieces
Based on research carried out by my Father's cousin John Neal (Deceased):
. The Bastian (Originally Bastard) families of Cornwall & Devon descend from Robert Le Bastard, who came in 1066 & may have been the 1/2 brother of William Le Bastard (The Conqueror).
. Henry Bastian my Great Great Great Grandfather married Jane Jenkyn the daughter of William Keigwin Jenkyn and Mary Blewett. (I could not make this connection for a few years based on my research until I found an exchange on a Bulletin Board (Between descendants of Keigwins and Bastians) who advised that "Jane (Jennifer) Jenkyn" did in fact marry a Bastian.
. Jane Jenkyn's lineage can be traced back to medieval times - I have a chart that he drew up in the 1980's.
I have not checked any facts on Jane or her descendants that were on his chart, but from looking at various Trees on the Net it appears that his Research is matched by many others.
