This collection is a compilation of revision lists, other census lists, vital records, tax lists, voter lists, conscription lists, citizenship and passport lists, directories, Holocaust lists, and other records pertaining to the Lithuanian-Jewish (Litvak) population during the Russian Empire and the period of independent Lithuania (1795-1940). Records may contain the names of several family members in addition to the primary person such as the parents, grandparents, or spouse. Most records contain the date and place of the pertinent event, and may include a secondary event such as the year or place of birth.
