Why am I being redirected to MyHeritage?
MesAieux (YourFolks) has officially joined the MyHeritage family in September 2024. To provide you with more advanced research tools and a global database, the two platforms have integrated. The MesAieux login portal has been closed since February 2025, and all accounts that did not opt-out have been moved to MyHeritage.
How do I access my family tree now?
Your account has been automatically created on MyHeritage with the email address you used to register at MesAieux. To access it:
Activation Email: Check your inbox for an activation email from MyHeritage. Clicking the link in that email will allow you to set your password.
Manual Access: If you can’t find the email, go to MyHeritage.com, click Log In, and use the "Forgot password?" link with your MesAieux email address.
Can I still log in to the old MesAieux site to see my data?
The MesAieux website now serves as a public landing page and resource center, but the personal "Member Area" is closed. You cannot log in to view or edit your tree on the old platform. All your personal data is now hosted securely on MyHeritage.
I already have a MyHeritage account. Where is my MesAieux tree?
If you already had a MyHeritage account with the same email address, we have not overwritten your data. Instead, your MesAieux family tree has been added as a separate family site within your existing account.
To find it, log in to MyHeritage and use the site selector (the drop-down menu with your site name) at the top of the page to switch to your YourFolks tree.
Are my photos and attached documents safe?
Yes. All family photos, marriage acts, and historical documents that were attached to your tree have been carefully transferred.
What happened if I opted out before April 29, 2025?
If you chose to opt out before the deadline last year, your family tree was not copied to MyHeritage. In accordance with privacy preferences, that data was not moved and is not accessible on the new platform.
