To view your ancestral Ethnicity Estimate, please hover over the ‘DNA’ tab and select ‘Ethnicity Estimate’:
If you manage only one DNA kit, you will see the corresponding Ethnicity Estimate on the next page.
If you also manage other people’s DNA kits, click on the arrow-down near "this is you" close to your name, and select the person you want to switch to among the suggestions:
For each region of your ethnicity results, we look at the estimated value and the range to evaluate the evidence that you have the region as part of your genetic ethnicity.
The ethnicity estimate is composed of two elements:
On the left side panel, you can see your ancestral ethnicities broken down into percentages for each region from which your DNA was inherited.
On the right side is an interactive world map highlighting the regions of your ancestral origins.
Click on a population listed on the left-hand side to be taken to a zoomed-in view of that particular region on the map.
Each ethnicity is represented by a color. These colors indicate the geographic areas from which your ancestors came. In the example below, you can see that light blue is for Scandinavian, pink is for Finnish, cyan is for Iberian, and so on.
You can zoom in and out to browse through the map and see more details.
In the top right corner of the map, you find a series of icons. Each icon gives you these options (from left to right):

Share the Ethnicity Estimate on Facebook or X (former Twitter)
Print the Ethnicity Estimate by clicking on the three dots
And on the bottom right side of the map, you can click on the icon and check the option “Family tree events”, so that those events will be displayed on the map.
