If you already have a family tree on your family site and you’d like to add a new one, please do the following:
1. Log into your family site.
2. Move your mouse cursor over the ‘Family tree’ tab and then click on ‘Manage trees’.
3. On the right side just above the list of family tree projects that you currently have on your site, click on the ‘Add Family Tree’ link.
4. On the next page, you will be prompted to enter the details of the main person in the family tree and his/her parents. By default, it will suggest adding you and your parents, but you can enter the details of any other person you would like to start the tree from. 5. Click ‘Go’ to proceed.
6. Next, you will be prompted to add the main person’s grandparents. You can skip these steps if you wish by clicking ‘Next’ or ‘Done’.
Please note that the name of the new family tree is generated automatically by the main person’s last name. If you would like to change it, please read the following article: How do I change the tree name on my family site online?
Privacy note: Adding living relatives to an online family tree requires you to obtain their prior consent. Before adding living relatives below the legal age to the family tree, you must obtain the consent of their parent or guardian.
