In Family Tree Builder you can prevent syncing of specific people, specific notes, specific facts, or certain facts for all people with your online family site, hide privatized info from charts and reports, and exclude privatized info from GEDCOM exports.
To edit these privacy settings for your tree, click on the ‘Tools’ menu in the upper menu bar and choose ‘Advanced Privacy Settings’.
Use the ‘Add’ button to add names, facts and other data units that will be privatized.
You can easily recognize privatized people in the tree in Family Tree Builder by the lock icon on the person's card.
Once you sync your tree with the site, all privatized data will be shown as ‘Unknown’.
