Family Tree Builder allows you to prepare a package of your project, upon your choice even including all pictures, and compress it into one single archive file, so that you can conveniently send it to the Support Team – or even use it as an external backup.
Please follow below steps to generate the package:
1. Open the Family Tree Builder (FTB)
2. In the ‘File’ menu, select ‘Manage Projects’
3. In the new window, select the project and click on the ‘Export Package’ button on the right hand side.
4. In the next window select a name and location for the file using the button ‘Save as’. You can choose to include the photo files in the package file and when done, click on the ‘Next’ button.
5. When the file has been created, you can click on the ‘Open Folder’ button to take you to the file that was saved on your computer.
You can now follow the instructions you received from our Support team on how to upload the file.
