Synchronization logs (sync logs) are text files containing debugging information from the Family Tree Builder which can help the Support Team to analyze different issues.
To generate sync logs in Family Tree Builder, please do the following:
1. Open the Family Tree Builder (FTB) program on your computer.
2. In the ‘Help’ menu, go to "About Family Tree Builder"
3. In the window that opens, right-click anywhere within.
4. In the menu, select "Start logs"
5. Close Family Tree Builder.
6. Open the FTB again and do try to sync. Wait until the sync process is finished or returned an error message.
7. In the Help menu, go to "About Family Tree Builder"
8. In the window that opens, right-click anywhere within
9. In the menu, select "Send logs"
10. A Windows folder opens, highlighting a file called "Send_logs_to_support.zip"
11. Send this file to support as an attachment.
