Yes — in the United States. MyHeritage works with an independent network of physicians called PWNHealth, which supervises MyHeritage's Health service and provides clinical oversight. This includes genetic counseling if recommended by the supervising physician. PWNHealth does not provide oversight for the ancestry portion of the test.
The price of the test includes a fee collected on behalf of PWNHealth for physician oversight and genetic counseling. The information you provide in the Health Questionnaire will be reviewed by the clinical team from PWNHealth, and a physician will verify your eligibility to receive the full range of health reports offered with this test.
After your health results are generated, the clinical team from PWNHealth will review them and determine whether genetic counseling is advised. Your results will be available to view online as soon as they’re ready, regardless of whether counseling is recommended. If genetic counseling is recommended, it’s included at no additional cost, and we strongly encourage you to schedule a session to discuss your results.
