Urgent questions on updating, changes

1.  Can a member create changes in the family tree?

2.  How does one make sure that only the webmaster can change the family tree? What are the settings needed, if any?

3.  Under the Mixed option, how does the webmaster select which information can be made public?

Hi!

By default, a member of a tree can make changes on the tree.

If you go into MyFamily > Settings > Privacy and into the Address Book tab, you will have the option "Can site members post content on the site". If you choose "no", then the members of your site will not be able edit your family tree.

Choosing a mixed privacy site allows you to let guests enter your site, but they do not see private sensitive information about living people in your tree. Members can still see everything on your site and tree. This is a good option if you are looking to further your genealogical research- people can visit your site, and contact you if they find a connection to yout tree.

Best Regards,

Esther / MyHeritage Team

Mine is also the same, and I'd appreciate knowing how to change this as well!

Certain types of family sites originally had settings for tagging photos only. We've changed this and now every family site has full settings options on the settings page.

If you have a site with settings for tagging photos only please write to support@myheritage.com, provide the site URL of the site in question and we'll manually change it for you.

Urgent question on updating, changes

OK I've spent enough time looking how to enable my members post changes on the family tree, so I decided to ask the experts. These are the facts:

I have used FTB software version 3.0.0.836

I make changes and then I publish it to the internet.

I have invited people to become members.

My Privacy settings are "Mixed site" with as many options I could enable in Guests and Members. (Some of them stay un-checked in the members tab though..like address book and all pages.

The invitation does send pass and username to the guest, my guests log in succesfully but the changes option is not available.

How do I enable members perform changes ?

How do I sync my FTB local file ?

I have checked various posts but I did not get any answer.

Thanks in advance for the prompt reply !
