It is currently so difficult to visualize the overview of the tree or a specific branch of the tree... .. especially if it's a larger tree such as mine in the MyHeritage online family trees.
Would it be possible to include a "pedigree view" AND an "Outline view" of descendant's of a particular person in the tree ?
Right now i have to constantly change over to my Family Tree Maker software to see these views in order to visualize the tree as a whole. .... and i know most of my cousins in my family tree dont have other family tree software such as FTM or FTB to visualize this.... so i'm hoping that you can ask your developers to include these views in the online version of our trees.
Please let me know if this is planned or in the works ! !
What I suggest that you do is to use the Descendants or Ancestors chart (Fan, Horizontal or Vertical) to create a visual chart for each major branch in the tree. You can adjust the style and color of the chart.
Save the chart as a PDF when you are finished. This will allow you better
Hi Ester.... yes i'm aware that you can print forms like that but what i'm saying is that often while i'm working with my family tree... i click on a person to quickly see thier pedigree and descendants.... to better visualize that tree... and instead of going through the process of printing a form... it's just a quick look.
it would be nice if MyHeritage had that option as we're viewing the tree online to see it in the form of a "pedigree:" or "outline of desendant" view.
Hello. It has been two years since this post and still no pedigree view. I thank MyHeritage for the free service and it is my favourite site of the kind. But the pedigree view would be a great had and I'm sure a simple one in terms of programming.
