I have enabled Albums for guests. Still they can't see Albums or any photo's. It says that Albums are not there or are made private. When they click on Find, they can see photo's, but still no albums. Is this a bug? Thanks.
My mother was adopted by her mothers brother after her mother died. She grew up knowing her Father , brothers and sisters. When I put both families on my tree it looks like my mom is a cousin to herself. What do I do to fix this please.
Is it possible to go back and see the "Reasons for Request" information a user types in when they request access to my site? I have approved a few people and would like to go back to see their "Reasons for Request" as this contained some information about them and how they fit into my family tree.
Question: How do I change this to where I have only one tree on the MyHeritage.com site?, and how do I ensure the FamilyTreeBuilder program is talking to it, and not creating another?
Should I delete the original "SJTSNIX23OCT6003" file and call it good?
I would of thought the FTB program would of seen the username and password I supplied, and said "Hey, there's a tree already here, do you want to update/associate/use that tree?, it did not, it created a 2nd tree instead.... not the behavior I wanted or expected.
I've deleted the "old tree" at the Family Tree site.
for someone not paying attention, two sites could easily sit there, and they might not ever notice that two where there.
Now when I go into my NEW tree, the "Smart Matches" do not exist yet. How long does it take for that to update?
Now that I have a NEW tree (which is simply a copy of the OLD treee), I assume your servers on the back end will alert everyone that there are NEW Smartmatches to my NEW tree, when they have already seen those Smartmatches from the OLD tree?
As log as you don't change the name of your project in Family Tree Builder,
You will never have to go through this operation again.
We will try to improve the interface and make this issue more clear in the future.
Each time you update your tree and publish it,
it goes in the Smart Matches queue.
Since you have a Basic Family Site, you will have to wait a week or two to get new matches. Trees belonging to Premium users do not have to wait in queue.

I moved your post into the Family Pages board due to the fact that you work on your tree with the online tree editor rather than Family Tree Builder.
The online family tree editor is kind of limited in it's handling of relationships which are more sophisticated than your normal nuclear family.
We are working on it though.
We are going to release a new version of the online family tree editor very soon which will be able to handle adoptions and step relationships.
In the meantime I recommend adding a fact for each person in the tree to note the relationship.

I have the lastest desktop version and I am still unable to do this effectively. My younger (Step-brother) has a different father, but we have the same mother. And even though I did the attach son thingy to my Mum, it is still shows that my dad is his dad. Isnt there any way to fix this?
In order to add the step brother and sisters to your family tree, you have to use www.familyecho.com and your base family tree and then upload to my heritage as GEDCOM file from www.familyecho.com. I hope this helps..........Shirelle
last time I logged here, I found that system mixed up some people. It set myself as my UNCLE with aunt as my wife. I try to delete this one and add again with correct name, but Iam still at wrong position and with wrong name. How can I set mysef as another (default) person?
I'm quiet content with FTB. One problem, however, does annoy me. In FTB I've set the display for the surnames of married women to: "Married name (Maiden name)". In FTB this is diyplayed correctly. When I publish my family tree, all married women show up with their maiden name.
I've tried to change this by setting the option manually on the website ( Settings -> Genealogy -> Formats), but whatever option I choose, there is no effect.
