My name is B and I started this site. The genealogical research was done by my late father, Prof Jan Stoop (*30 September 1925; † 27 August 2007) who, together with my mother (Hettie Stoop), visited archives, government offices and members of the Stoop-family over the length and breath of South Africa and Namibia over many years. This website was made possible by their dedication and hard work.The full text of his research (Stoop Geskiedenis by Jan Stoop) is attached as PDF-file.
