Hi,
We are trying to trace a NIKOLAJEW family who came to Australia via Germany after World War II.
Their DP documents state they were born and worked in Abrinow (or Abrino), Latvia, until 1944, but we can't seem to identify what or where this is.
Can anyone help?

You should look for place i think called Abrene, don't live anymore in latvija but do remember place like that unless mot information you can find in www.raduraksti.lv, there is massive storage with church books, just go and find a year or a place ang go trough all pages. that should help.
