Whoever wrote the post about my grandfather has got it slightly wrong.  He owned a pub called the Ivy House in Stradbroke (where I was born) then moved up the road to Castle Villa.  He owned a garage in the village, ran buses and taxis, my grandmother also had a small shop at one time.  They had four surviving children.  TC Upson died in 1956 and is buried in Stradbroke cemetary.
