Searching for a James McElroy or decendents who apparently emigrated to America at some point. he was the older brother of Bernard McElroy Snr born somethime around 1867/1968 in the parish of Inishkeen Co Monaghan Ireland near a place called Sellas.Bernard inlisted into the army (Liverpool Regiment) he was 6foot tall for a man at that time.
I have a James McElroy who was born in 1795 NY. His father was Alexander who was born 1n 1771 NY. I do know they immigrated from Ireland but don't know when.
