Joseph Call from County Cork Ireland

- Close

I have an ancestor, Joseph Call, who came to the US from County Cork in Ireland. He married a Ball. The Call family ended up in Ohio where many of them stayed. Josephine Call married Abraham Leasure in Ohio and they moved to Tennessee. They were my gg-grandparents. I am trying to find out where exactly the Calls came from and if they spelled their name the same in Ireland as when they came to US.

My great Grandfather, Joseph Pierce Walton, married Mary Ellen Call and her fathers name was Joseph Call.  I know that Adam Walton, (my G-G-Grandfather), his wife Jane Parker, his several children, including Joseph, came to America in 1892 to settle in Wellsville, Ohio.  He married Mary Ellen Call there and my grandfather, Joseph Pierce Walton Jr. was born. Adam came from Alston Cumberland England. and was born in 1846.  My name is Paul Joseph Walton Jr. bigjoe_48@msn.com
