I am seeking members of the DeNigris family that settled in The Bronx during the early part of 1900's. They were developed several businesses dealing with granite, both building and tombstones. There were 7 brothers who came from Bari, Italy. I would like to fill out the family tree which should now encompass at least 5 generations. Looking forward to hearing from you.
This is my family. My grandfather Domenick came here in early 1900s and was married to Antionette. They had 8 children, my father is one. They had a monument company with family member running it in the Bronx.

I have his photo he sent in his last letter. His name was Benjamin Portnoy. In 1938 his address was 1378 College Ave. Bronx N.Y. He was born in Pinsk. His father’s name was Meyer Portnoy. I don’tknow when he arrived in the U.S, I think in 1920s. I understand too many years passed. I think somebody of his children and grandchildren are alive and I hope to find my cousins. He had four children:Dora,Meyer,Mary and Hyman. I hope Hyman is alive,he's about 86 now. ..I’ll be glad to get any help and to know something about my relatives.With the best wishes Svetlana.
