About our family
My roots go back to Ireland, Limmerick, and Hamburg, Germany on my mothers paternal side and Ballindalloch, Scotland and Nelson NZ and Pitt island on mums maternal side. My fathers paternal line came from Orkney Is and Mosgiel NZ, and maternal line the Colletts originated from England. The Bekers, changed the german spelling of the name Becker during the WW1 era and Nicol Robertson, a fisherman from orkney was the son of Robert, that is how the name Robertson came about.
Missing pieces
Robert Pollock emigrated from England, settled in the nelson area, he was involved in local and central government I believe, he married an Eileen Fuller, any further news on this branch of the family would be appreciated.
