Brianna Potts' Ancestors Site

Welcome to Brianna Potts' Ancestors Site

My name is Brianna Potts and I started this site.I have come to the realization in the past few years that we take our families for granted and when they are gone we seem to say "I wish I had (insert verb) So-and-So (blank) before they died."  I have lost multiple family members that have this information and this has made those types of questions even more frustrating because it could have been avoided by writing down what I heard when I heard it, or even recording the conversations when they turned to these important subjects, that have many of us upset with ourselves for not also having thought to do similar things to save those memories and stories for future generations. I have undertaken this project so that I can help the next generation not forget what it was like for my great-grandparents who grew up on farms of some kind and taught their children values, work ethic, the difference between right and wrong, and why all of those things are so important, especially when the world around us seems to have forgotten; so if this family tree goes no further back than my great-grandparents grandparents I will have hopefully provided enough to spark the interest of the next generation to pick up where I have left off.I have also included step-cousins in here because they are as much a part of my family as my biological cousins are and I hope that everyone who comes by here to look and see what is happening in my family will take the time to see how diverse a family I have and that I try to take joy in knowing that while I may not have the same relationship with my cousins that my parents had with theirs due to geographically issues, I do love my family and hope that even if you don't have time to sit down and write a quick note or email everyone can still be in touch through this site by simply seeing what events are coming up.
