Strong Web Site

Welcome to Strong Web Site

My name is Tracie McFadden Burns, and I am the Site manager of this Strong family site. This site is focused on the families of CORDELIA AUGUSTA JACKSON STRONG SCHNEPFE BUTTON and ALBERT JACKSON STRONG. It was created in 2009 using MyHeritage.com, and I am updating it irregularly. There are other sites for the McFadden/Kaufman family, which I'll be happy to hook you up to if you're interested. Click the Family Tree tab above^^ to get started looking.  You can always Search for someone's name, or follow a trail.  Please update anything you know is wrong, and add info about you and the ones you love - like where you live, where you went to school, what you do, etc. And PICTURES! I love the pictures, so feel invited to add any you have.To put in your birthday, click Edit by your name.  For anything else, click Add by the Facts bar on the left side when your name is up in the tree.THERE ARE 2 TABS for each person - Info (which tells you little) and Events. Make sure you click on Events to get all the  information you're looking for. ***THERE ARE ONLY 250 FREE NAMES, so I'm trying to put all the folks who are not directly related to Albert or Cordelia in NOTES in family members' biographies.*** This is especially true for the 17th, 18th, and 19th century folks who had LOTS of kids that are not directly related to us. NOTES are interesting, though! Read them! One of the earliest people on the tree is through Cordelia's mother NETTIE BATES JACKSON. My 10 times great-grandfather through her is DANIEL SHEPARDSON, who was born in England around 1612, came to the Massachusetts Bay Colony as a blacksmith in 1633 (4 years after it was founded), married, and had the kids who would eventually have us all.Another early couple is my 12x great-grandparents William and WYBRA PONTUS, who were actually ***Pilgrims,*** born in the late 1500s! Their daughter Mary remarried the first Delano in America and became a great-ancestor to Franklin Delano Roosevelt (although none of our relatives were actually part of that line.)***Search in People for Daniel Shepardson I or Wybra Pontus to view the tree from oldest to newest.***To see how people are related to each other, you can use the Relationship Report link on the pull-down menu under the FAMILY TREE tab. If you have any comments or feedback about this site, please click here to contact me.Our family tree is posted online on this site! There are 242 names in our family site. The site was last updated on Feb 10 2024, and it currently has 4 registered member(s).  If you wish to become a member too, please click here.   Enjoy!  --Tracie
