Gill Web Site

My name is Geoffrey Gill and I created this site using MyHeritage.com. It's a great system that allows anyone like you and me to create a private site for their family, build their family tree and share family photos. Hope you can participate & if you have any comments or feedback, please click here to contact me. This site includes the Canadian (and Indian), Irish, Scottish and New Zealand side of my mother Lillian G. Moran (Darling, Moran, Prince,) family-- impacted by the Cromwellian Wars in the British Isles. SEE BIOGRAPHY OF GEORGE DARLING 1ST.Photos from the Canadian side -- Darlings, Morans and Princes -- came thru Lillian Moran Gill's DARLING COLLECTIONS.  This geneology also includes the Pennsylvania/German/French side of my father Harold G. Gill family-- my grandfather Pius J. Gill-- and my great grandfather John George Gill and my great, great grandfather Jacob Peter Gull.  This geneology reflects the impact of the Nepoleonic Wars on both the French and German side of Alce Lorraine.  There are old photos (as far back as 1855) and profiles relating to the Gill / Gull line with many included compliments of James C. Gill's genealogy book THE JOHN GEORGE GILL FAMILY. Many additional photos came from Harold G. Gill's collection and still other from Carole Joyce Tussey's and Tim Phillip's collections.  We recently added the Puerto Rican side of my wife Elaine's family and these include the Rodriguez, Dominguez, Betancourt and Lausell families.  The Rodriguez'ses immigrated to PR from the Canary Islands near Spain.
