As the Photo Discoveries feature is based on our underlying Smart Matching™ technology, the settings are the same as the ones used for Smart Matches.
If you don’t want to allow other users to be able to copy profile photos from your family tree, please do the following:
1. Click on your name in the right upper corner and select ‘My privacy’:
2. On the left-hand side of the 'My Privacy’ page, click on ‘Content’ below the name of the family site.
3. Uncheck the box ‘Allow managers of other sites to copy photos of matched individuals’ to disable this option, then click the ‘Save’ button:
If you want to disable Photo Discoveries™ completely, uncheck the setting ‘Enable Smart Matching™ on MyHeritage’ and click ‘Save’. This will turn off Smart Matches and all Instant Discoveries™ for your site.
Please note:
Photos of people marked as living in your family tree are automatically privatized for all of our matching features, including Photo Discoveries™ and Smart Matching™.
Also note:
Settings are specific for each tree, so if you have more than one tree on your family site, make sure to change the settings for each of them.
