The quality of the cropped images is dependent on several factors:
The quality of the camera (camera optics, sensor, and size in pixels) - the better optics and sensor, and the more pixels, the better the quality of the cropped photos. Note that we currently support a maximum of 20 megapixels.
The number of photos within each scanned page - fewer photos on a scanned page will result in higher-quality cropped photos. When deciding how many images to include in each scan, you should consider how much time you’d like to invest in scanning and where you will use the cropped photos. If time is a factor and you plan to keep the photos in a digital format, you can include multiple photos on a scanned page. If, on the other hand, you are not limited by time and plan to print the photos, then it’s better to include fewer images on each scanned page, ideally even one photo per scan.
Currently, Reimagine doesn’t offer the option to increase the resolution or the dpi of photos that have already been scanned and improved.
