Biography

Was a ships chandler, originally from Plymouth, who married Harriet Yeo Brae (her father was in the Navy as a sailmaker), in Plymouth?  They migrated first to Melbourne then to Lawrence, NZ in the early 1850's to open the first? store in the gold diggings, subsequently staying on as a farmer.
