You can stop this automatism in Your My purchases page (finding under Your profile name in the upper right corner of Your family site).

Not every verbal discharge You can find in the WWW is pointing seriously a situation.
The only point I must agree is the no-answer from the support. I've no idea what's happend there. This isn't my experience I have normally.
