you take From other website to this one

I created a big family tree on familysearch.org  They have way more resources to do so. Then what 3 years later I get a message that you found info and show me everything I wrote there as if it has never been seen?? Along with photos, I posted there??

Am I supposed to say thank you, for what I did there??

It all cool having a tree on more than one website. Some people just don't know there are others doing real work on them. I do real work on familysearch.org for people I don't know or may have not even been born yet. It all free there. they got no "go premium" button on familysearch. they help you because it's the right thing to do.

So if you're going to take form other websites then Tell people where the info is coming from. You may be cutting them off from relatives that are out there. After all, it's not that hard to copy info from other websites. then say nothing but look what I found. It comes across very badly. When I know where that info coming from and how much work I did to my tree alone on their website and you don't pass that on to other users.  living family members could be working on their trees on other websites and all you do is say look what we found.  familysearch has got you beat on that one. I'm now am in contact with living people in my tree and you don't show that. Very bad it's about family, not just info. Come on I knew you can change. be good to all and they will to you.

Dear Robert,

Thank you for your message.

MyHeritage has partnership with different sources that provide information and documents, such as FamilySearch and Geni.

If a user has accounts in different sites, such those aforementioned, it can pretty much so happen that he/she will get Record Matches with the information they added onto another family site.

Since we have no access to other sites' system and users registration and accounts, we are not able to tell that the User X on FamilySearch is the same person as User X on MyHeritage.

I hope this could clarify your enquiry.

Have a wonderful day.

Best regards,

Hi Robert,

There is a partnership between FamilySearch and MyHeritage (I don't remember exactly how long). Part of this partnership was a data exchange connection between them. Here the users have the functions to reference and copy the data records of search results from SuperSearch and Record Matches in an easy way. Every data record has a citation info from where it comes, and in most of the cases with a link to the original data record.

In Your case, why the data from FamilySearch isn't here for free .. I cannot give You a serious answer.

So, I will forward Your vote into our moderator channel directly to the support.

Here in this users-help-users forum nobody in this case can do something for You.

Best regards

Remo
