My result show no Italian DNA whatsoever. My mother is italian from both side of her family, with Italian names, and family still leaving there from Milan to Calabria.
I was expecting some "surprises" ,DNA you would not expect to have and was ready to embrace those but it is purely impossible not to have any (0%) of Italian DNA. A mere 10% would have raised suspicion but 0% is simply inexact.
Was there a mix up at the laboratory or shall seriously doubt the truthfulness and accuracy of the results coming from your company?
I had this exact issue. I tested my daughter, who's about 20% Italian. MyHeritage brags about being able to tell Italians Sardinians, and Greeks apart. My daughter's DNA test showed 0% Italian, and 8% Greek.
We've uploaded our results to GEDMatch, much more accurate, and free.
We must be patient with answered questions/problems because we are not the only one with it. Like in every system, the queues were processed with the first-in-first-out mechanism. And these queues are quite long, I'm sure.
My experience is, that every ticket will be answered. So try it, please. If You follow the description I've written above, Your question/problem will be forwarded quickly to the DNA competence team. But be sure, You are not the only one, too. So be patient
