Because it's a scam of sorts.  They want you to fill in all the family tree info they can get. My results are way off base and they say not possible. My grandmother was 100% American Indian and their results show none, that's 0!   My parents, grandparents ( except for 1) , great grand parents were all from Germany. I do have some English and a dash of Scottish.  But with DNA test they say there's no German and no American Indian.  So something's not right and they don't want to talk to you.

The DNA results can't be true or correct.  I've traced my mother's grandmother to the Lakota Sioux Indian Reservation in Avant, OK and yet I have absolutely NO Native American DNA.  My Heritage says I am 75% Scandinavian which is silly.  My mother and father were both black haired.  I traced my dad's roots back to the 1700's in France and Great Britain.  This also says I am 1/4% Iranian.

Wow this sounds so very fimiliar. Here is my story I purchased the DNA kit August 9th and received the DNA kit August 15th and did the cheek swabs sent in back on August 16th. I was waiting and waiting for the processing steps. I got through to there customer service after 3 attempts to talk to someone. I was told the lab is in Houston, TX so there would be a delay in processing do to the hurricane. SO guess what I finally got my results 7 weeks later. I like you got the results of 72.6 English, small amount of Irish and Balkan.

That would be fine but unless I was adopted I would agree with these DNA results. But, here's the thing my family for over 300 hundred years were born and raised in Belguim and Holland. None of these countries were every mentioned in my DNA results. I feel so duped by this whole scam. They don't call you back or even try to recify their errors. I would never waste my time with this company not worth the money.

Hi Charlene,

If something seems to be impossible or don't fill in the own picture and point of view, is automatically scam.

For instance, if You follow Your german root, take a look to the history, especially the aera of the different kindoms, etc. in Europe, and the aera of the migration of peoples (in german aka Völkerwanderungen).

But anyway,

See the post below, what You can do, if there are questions/problems/discrepancies in the area of DNA.

Best regards

Remo

Hi Peter,

Please send any problem & questions around DNA directly to the support (support@myheritage.com).

In the title of the email place somewhere the word DNA, and this will forward quickly to the DNA support team.

Take a look on the following Post from Yehudah (MyHeritage):
