Hovever, on MyHeritage and on the forum I cannot find a Geanology Form  to print out

I am looking for a form with all information that I will be able to gather and put inside of the MyHeritage.

If somebody can share such a form with me, I will be really appreciate.

Hello Vitali,

In the World Wide Web You can find a lot templates for this plan. I did it years ago with empty Family Group Sheets. And it works very well.

For instance: http://www.genealogysearch.org/free/forms.html

Hope this helps.

Best regards and happy researching

Thank you for your reply Remo and links,

I am looking for specific form that is 100% compatible with My Heritage, and I was not able to find it there.

Hello Vitali,

You will not find a form like this. 100% compatible are only the data entry masks of a person directly in the family tree.

Normally, You should make first some thinking, what You want to know from Your relatives. For instance:

Person:

  • Date & Place of Birth, Baptism, Death, Burial, Marriage(s), Occupation(s), etc.
  • Partner(s) & Child/Children
  • Parents

Parents, Partners & Children with person data above.

So, simplified every person has from his/her point of view  the same informations. If You have a look on a sample family sheet, there You will find the corresponding fields they can write (or not) their data. After You receive the filled out forms, You can start to enter the data into Your family tree as good as possible.

The other way is, to build the raw skeleton of Your family tree with minimum the names and relations (partners, children, parents). Then You can invite Your relatives to enter their data themselve. The risk with this is, it could be result in a small disarray, which You must clean up after.

Hope this helps a little bit.

Best regards

Hello Vitali,

Additional question for Your relatives could be:

  • looking for photos
  • looking for family chronicals
  • looking for family books
  • looking for biographies

Ask them, to send it to You, and if they want, You send it back, after You scan/copy it. This was very successful when I did something like this.

Best regards
