How do invited family members access the family tree?

I have invited several family members to view our family tree but how do they access it? Presumably the invitations will only direct them to the website, but in order to see everything they will need to log on? Do I have to create user IDs and passwords for them using their email addresses stored on the family tree or do they have to go through a signing up process in order to see everything? I'd be very grateful for any help anyone can give me about this.

Hello Peter,

With the invitation Your job is done.

The invited persons has to registrate with the email address You used for the invitation, and a password. The step to create an own family site/family tree they can skip.

If they already have an account, they find Your family site in their list of sites.

To open Your family site, they can use the link in the invitation email, or they can open the web address www.myheritage.com and fill out the login infos (email & password). Sometimes it's on a popup window, sometimes it's in the upper right corner of the browser window.

Note: check the privacy settings for Your family site (under Your profile name in the upper right corner) and the tree settings (Family tree .. Manage trees).

Hope this helps.

Best regards

Remo
